A Tentative Welcome

Published by easy_tiger at under Welcome! Edit This

It’s 3:44AM…I am me- it’s very nice to meet you.

I’m sitting in my dorm room and it’s 3:44Am. My room-mate went home for the weekend, so with the room to myself, I decided to bring a girl back. We watched Wristcutters: A Love Story after going out to dinner in downtown San Francisco. She left a little earlier than I would have preferred, but I actually enjoyed myself. I came onto my computer half hoping that I’d have a message from her saying she wanted to come back, but instead I found an e-mail telling me that I’m officially a professional blogger.

A couple of my friends told me about this; Albert’s page is over on my links, and the other prefers to stay anonymous for some strange reason. Regardless, here I am.

I’m not entirely sure what all this is going to become yet. I want to have a poetry page which will be updated every once in a while, a prose page the same, a journal which I will try to write in once a day, and probably just random bullshit I think people might be interested in. I’m sure over the course of the next few weeks I’ll kind of figure it out. Right now, I’m a little lost though.

In brief… I’m Travis Johnson and am an 18 year old college student. I’m double majoring in Creative Writing and Psychology and I intend to pursue a career as a novelist. From this sentence on forward, I will do my best to write something worth reading.

Welcome to my blog.
